- 🚨PROGRAMME CLOSED TO NEW APPLICANTS as of 3 April 2025 (Organic Law 1/2025). All investor residence routes under Articles 63-67 of Law 14/2013 were abolished, not only the real estate route. Applications submitted before the cutoff may continue under the previous rules, while valid existing investor visas and residence permits remain valid and may be renewed under the rules applicable when the initial authorisation was granted. Spain currently has no dedicated residence-by-investment or Golden Visa programme for new applicants. Alternative immigration routes include the Non-Lucrative Visa, Digital Nomad Visa, EU Blue Card and qualifying entrepreneur routes.
